Cutting wheel
A 24 in solid-steel flywheel, 3/4 in thick, carrying 34 tungsten carbide cutting teeth — YG11C tips in 42CrMo holders. Spun by the tractor PTO at 540 RPM, it grinds up to 6 in below ground to take out roots and leave the area ready for grading or grass.
More teeth on a bigger wheel means each pass removes more wood — and when the teeth eventually dull, you replace teeth, not the wheel.
The included 1-3/8 in 6-spline PTO driveline shaft connects the tractor to the grinder and carries a friction torque limiter (slip clutch) rated to 1200 N·m. If the wheel snags, the clutch slips instead of passing the shock into your tractor.
The slip clutch is the safety margin between a hard stop in the stump and a damaged tractor PTO.
A Cat. 1 three-point hitch frame, quick-attach compatible, with top-link pin and locking pins. Two parking stands hold the grinder upright when it is off the tractor, and a chip deflector directs debris downward.
Mount, grind, unhook — the stands mean the SG24 waits on its own feet until the next stump.
03 Your setup
The proven workhorse. Everything you need to take stumps below grade: a 24 in solid-steel flywheel with 34 carbide teeth, the slip-clutch PTO shaft in the box, a chainsaw holder, stabilizing legs, and a tool bucket for the manual and install tools. Best for: clearing stumps on your own property a few times a year.
Built for people who grind often. The PRO keeps everything in the SG24 (the same 24 in wheel, 34 carbide teeth and slip-clutch PTO shaft) and adds three upgrades you feel on every stump.
Grinding often? The PRO adds anti-kickback shock absorption, a go/no-go tilt indicator and a chain chip deflector for more.
Smoother passes, cleaner yard. The shock-absorbing linkage resists the grinder bucking off the stump, and the chain curtain keeps chips close to the hole. Only need the basics? The SG24 is less.
